Radiographic Interference

Radiographic interference is the physical disruption, scattering, or blocking of electromagnetic imaging waves that occurs when an external foreign object or material is present on the skin during medical scanning procedures. To prevent structural data mismatches, artifacts, or image degradation, non-transdermal patch substrates must be completely removed and discarded prior to undergoing clinical diagnostic sessions.
